I started shaping and glassing boards in 1999 just outside Philadelphia, PA (Yes, Philly) because I realized that board builders were not making the exact boards that I needed. I desired a truly hand-crafted surfboard. As owner, shaper and glasser at Eight:Sixteen Surfboards, I produce some of the finest quality 100% hand-made surfboards, with completely original resin tinting. I understand that not every board works for every surfer, so to truly get that magic board I work closely with the customer and discuss all of his or her needs. Also, I have a wide range of shapes that have been surfer certified on both coasts and other exotic surf spots. I have everything from a 10' log to a performance fish. My main goal is to make boards with a lot of soul while maintaining optimal performance.
